German Teenager Freed
from Antalya Prison
17-year old Marco, who has been held in an Antalya prison since April, was
released on Friday and immediately returned to Germany.
His trial has been postponed until April 1.
He is accused of sexually abusing a 13-year old British girl he met while
on holiday in Side. Marco denies the charge and told the court that the
girl said she was 15 years old.
Matthias Waldraff, a lawyer for the boy’s parents, told reporters in
Antalya Friday night that the family will not be available to the public
for the time being. He said the teenager would not immediately return to
his hometown of Uelzen, in northern Germany.
